IAP2 2013 Presenter Check-In: Tannis Topolnisky

As we count down the days to #IAP2NA2013, we thought it would be nice to check in with our speakers and presenters to see what they’re looking forward to at the conference. Enjoy!

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Tannis Topolnisky – a mom, dog owner, IAP2 Certificate trainer, wanna-be gardener, part-time fitness instructor, public engagement practitioner and senior consultant at Dialogue Partners, among a few other things! I am most passionate about building skills and capacity of individuals and organizations, leading memorable community conversations on complex and emotional issues and together deepening the practice and experience of engagement.

What topic will you be presenting on at the conference, and what makes you feel passionate about it?

I am presenting with the Dialogue Partners team on courage & public engagement. Courage isn’t a skill we often think of when we talk P2, but it’s something from experience that I’ve had to dig for, and request from others at various times in my work. It’s a key factor of P2 success, so let’s talk about it!

Based on the conference program, what other sessions do you hope to attend (and why)?

I’m really excited to see how others are pushing the edges of the practice and doing courageous things that I know will inspire me.

Where can we follow you?
