IAP2 2013 Presenter Check-In: Prashant Singh
As we count down the days to #IAP2NA2013, we thought it would be nice to check in with our speakers and presenters to see what they’re looking forward to at the conference. Enjoy!
Who are you and what do you do?
Prashant Singh, CTO and cofounder of LocalData. I believe better data makes better cities, so we build mapping products that let governments, nonprofits, and universities collect and understand data that matters.
What topic will you be presenting on at the conference, and what makes you feel passionate about it?
Modern technologies have created great opportunities for citizen input and action. It’s important to understand what’s out there and which methods can really be helpful. Especially as data becomes a critical piece of decision-making processes, I want groups at all levels to have access to data that matters and to have fluency with that data.
Based on the conference program, what other sessions do you hope to attend (and why)?
I’m interested in sessions about process and challenges, so I can learn how technology might better support participation and human interaction. But I’m even more excited to meet people and have the conversations that result from these sessions. So if you spot me, come say hi!
Where can we follow you?
