IAP2 2013 Presenter Check-In: Sheri Wantland

As we count down the days to #IAP2NA2013, we thought it would be nice to check in with our speakers and presenters to see what they’re looking forward to at the conference. Enjoy!

Who are you and what do you do?

Sheri WantlandSheri Wantland seeks those who will be impacted by her organization’s decisions and helps them to truly influence the outcomes.

What topic will you be presenting on at the conference, and what makes you feel passionate about it?

I will tell the story of embracing the people for whom our facility is a beloved park and migratory bird sanctuary, trusting their wisdom and knowledge of the place to help us make better decisions to address the regulatory, technological and funding challenges of a vital infrastructure expansion. Preconference, I’ll be Tony Faast’s sidekick in Tactical Facilitation—he’s one of the best and I know you’ll come away ready to become a world-class facilitator.

Based on the conference program, what other sessions do you hope to attend (and why)?

My top pick would be the SP2 Model, which is opposite my session so I can’t attend. So, if you don’t come see me, please go see Francesca and Jo and give them the love and support they deserve—and be ready to learn from the next generation of P2 practitioners. I’m very excited to see Lewis Michaelson, Larry Schooler, Stefani and Tannis, and just wish I could attend all the sessions.

Where can we follow you?
