Cascade Chapter Regional Conference: Call for Presenters
This just in from our friends at the Cascade Chapter:
PI Works! 2011
June 9-10, 2011 in Bend, Oregon.
Our seventh regional conference will explore and exchange public participation trends, pitfalls, tips, research, kudos, case studies, and more. Whether you are just entering the field, looking to network, need to reinvigorate your practice, or need a sympathetic ear—this is it! Leading public involvement practitioners in the Pacific Northwest will share ground rules, lessons learned, secrets and best practices. If you’d like to be a presenter, consider this:
- Presentations are lively, interactive, and fun! (Imagine a Power Point free zone)
- Innovative presentation styles are encouraged.
- Topics have immediate relevance for Pacific Northwest decisions in 2011.
- Presenters must register for the conference and are pro bono.
*A select few presenters may be allowed to make their presentation and leave, and will not be asked to register. If they attend other sessions, they will need to register.
If that sounds good, the conference venue is the River House in Bend, Oregon—site of the memorable 2001, 2007 and 2009 PI Works! Attendees will be public participation practitioners, managers, policymakers, and other experts who need stakeholder engagement skills. Registration will be limited to the first 150. Presentations will be 90 minutes.
If you would like to be a presenter, please submit the information requested below by email to Sheri Wantland at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 1, 2011.
The event is reasonably priced at $265 for IAP2 members (from the US and abroad) and $300 for non-members. The conference has been extremely well received in the past and will sell out.
