IAP2 USA Affiliation Package for Your Review – Comments Due 11/8

This note went out to all US members today via email. Please get in touch in case you didn’t get it, and we can forward you the documents. Thanks!

Today the IAP2 USA Transition Team completed work on the Affiliate Application package that includes draft Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and other items required by IAP2 International.

The Transition Team wants to ensure they are on course to create a vibrant organization to serve members in the United States. By Monday, November 8, please carefully review the attached documents and provide your comments, concerns and suggestions to: Theresa Gunn, Gunn Communications, E-mail: tgunn at gciaz.com

The documents are also available on the IAP2 USA wiki at http://iap2usa.wikispaces.com

Once your comments are considered and the package is revised, it will be provided to the IAP2 Board of Directors on November 11, 2010 for consideration at the board meeting on November 18, 2010. This schedule will allow us to implement IAP2 USA and elect our board before the end of this year.

A nominating committee is being established to call for nominees for the IAP2 USA 11-member board. Elections will take place in December so a new board may take the helm at the beginning of 2011. The inaugural board will have the opportunity, challenges and excitement of shaping the affiliate. If you have questions, or are interested in running for the board, contact Anne Brooks a.brooks at brooks-alaska.com) for more information.

Remember, this is your last opportunity to comment on the affiliate application, and your input is essential. Thanks for your time and interest.
